Judaic Ritual Objects

Without ritual objects, Jews may not have been able to keep their rituals throughout two thousand years of persecution. And without these rituals it is doubtful that we would have survived as a people.


Mezuzot (plural of mezuzah)

The mezuzah is hung on the door posts of the home and synagogue.
The case contains a scroll with passages from Deuteronomy.
The Hebrew letter ‘shin’ on the mezuzah stands for Shaddai, one of the names of God. Shaddai also translates as "my breast".
