Built for a small congregation in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The rabbi wanted an ark that is portable (the case separates from the base and both parts fit in a station wagon). The repeating Hebrew letter shin forms the branch motif in the doors and is meant to be somewhat hidden, not obvious at first glance. gallery
