Torah Case
The doors curve in two planes, in an egg shape. Comprised of about 3,800 cubes with end grain facing out. With doors closed, the Hebrew word ‘shema’ or ‘listen’ is subtly visible. When the ark is open the Hebrew word ‘echad’ or ‘one’ is clearly seen. These are the first and last words in Judaism’s most central prayer.
